Being a Beaver
Beaver Scouts are young boys and girls usually aged between six and eight years old. Our colony is a friendly and active place for you child to join – we get up to all sorts of things, including day visits, sleepovers, arts and crafts, exploring the outdoors and much more!
The Beaver Scout Motto is ”Be prepared”
Activities and what you’ll get up to
Get an introduction to outdoor activities, have the opportunity to be creative, explore your local community and experience the excitement of a Beaver Scout sleepover with your friends.
We meet every Thursday from 6pm-7pm at Padworth Village Hall (https://w3w.co/factor.fixtures.looms)
Awards
Completing awards challenges you to do more, learn more and be more. See what’s on offer and start your journey to the top.
Beaver Scout Promise
I promise to do my best
To be kind and helpful
And to love God
Moving up to Cubs
Eventually, it’ll be time to say farewell to Beavers and embrace your next big adventure.
Uniform and badge placement
You don’t need a uniform to join. But once you’ve settled in, you’ll start speedily earning badges, and you’ll need to know where to put them!
Beaver leaders
Our leadership team is entirely made up of volunteers who enjoy running Beaver meetings! All adult leaders have training and a CRB check, and there is always at least one adult who is first aid qualified.
If you would like the opportunity to do something you’d never thought of doing, while having lots of fun and giving back to the community at the same time, please get in touch – we can always do with more leaders!
Our Section leader is Tiffany Ebrey
